GWI Disease Symptoms

Gulf War illnesses are a group if illnesses, each with a list of symptoms. These include ME/CFS, fibromyalgia and functional gastrointestinal disorders.


Chemicals used as nerve agents or insecticides and infections are suspected of causing Gulf War illnesses.

What if I have Gulf War illness?

In addition, people with Gulf War illnesses, also known as Gulf War syndrome or chronic multi-system illness, may experience symptoms that do not meet the diagnostic criteria for a defined disease.

 

Symptoms associated with Gulf War syndrome include:

  • Fatigue
  • Musculoskeletal pain
  • Headaches
  • Insomnia
  • Cognitive problems
  • Skin rashes
  • Diarrhea
  • Dizziness
  • Respiratory disorders
