2011-2012 - We provided financial and other assistance to the Speak Up About ME project that shows government officials the impact ME/CFS has on children.
2009 - We donated $2,000 through The Nancy Klimas Research Excellence Award that was given to Dr. Michael H. Antoni and Dr. John K. Chia, an infectious disease physician and researcher at UCLA.
2009 - We awarded $3,000 to Gordon Broderick, Ph.D., a
Canadian ME/CFS and Gulf War illnesses researcher. This money was for
two interns to study the immune system abnormalities in Gulf War
illnesses and neuro-imaging as possible use in diagnosing ME/CFS. This
grant was given in memory of Dr. Steven Croft, who practiced
rheumatology in Boca Raton in Florida.
2011 - We awarded a $300 grant to Lace up for Lyme, which sponsored a walk to raise money and awareness of Lyme disease.
2010-2011 - We supported the ME/CFS Worldwide Patient Alliance grass rootsproject
for running advertisements to bring awareness to ME/CFS. Patient
donations made through our organization were given to the project in the form of
grants. From August 2010 to February 2011, PANDORA Org granted over $11,000
to this patient-driven effort.
